Recapito Launches CallPlan, an AI Receptionist Built for Small Businesses
TelAve News/10905305
CallPlan helps businesses answer customer calls, assist customers, handle appointments and provide reliable phone coverage using AI.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - TelAve -- Recapito today announced the availability of CallPlan, an AI-powered receptionist and phone answering service designed to help small businesses provide professional, consistent customer service without requiring every incoming call to be handled by an employee.
CallPlan answers incoming business calls using conversational AI and information specific to each business. The service can answer common customer questions, collect caller information, assist with appointments, transfer calls when appropriate and provide coverage when employees are busy or the business is closed.
"Our goal with CallPlan is very practical: help businesses make sure an important customer call doesn't go unanswered simply because everyone is busy," said David Griffis, founder of Recapito. "AI has reached a point where it can become a useful part of everyday business communications rather than simply being another technology businesses have to manage."

Unlike a generic answering system, CallPlan can be configured with information about the individual business, including its services, hours, staff, policies and other information customers commonly request.
The system is designed to complement existing employees rather than replace the personal service businesses provide. Routine calls can be handled automatically while calls requiring an employee can be transferred with the appropriate context.
CallPlan also supports capabilities such as appointment handling, after-hours call coverage, call transcripts and reporting, allowing businesses to maintain visibility into customer conversations handled by the service.
