SAN FRANCISCO - TelAve -- Humboldt County's premier outdoor music festival and iconic cultural gathering is returning with a fresh rhythm and an exciting new seasonal timeframe. The Mateel Community Center has officially announced that Reggae on the River will celebrate its 38th annual festival along the scenic banks of the South Fork Eel River at County Line Ranch in Piercy, moving to an all-new early summer weekend from June 25 through June 27, 2027. This move to June marks a dynamic new chapter for the world renowned West Coast reggae gathering, giving attendees sunny days, perfect river waters, and comfortable summer nights beneath the majestic Humboldt County redwoods while honoring over four decades of community driven sound system culture.

The 2027 festival promises an immersive three day redwood music and culture experience featuring a powerhouse lineup of roots reggae legends, dancehall icons, dub masters, and reggae fusion artists across three distinct stages, including late night sets on the high powered Basscraft Sound System. In addition to world class live performances, Grammy winning artists, and traditional Nyabinghi drumming, attendees can enjoy picturesque riverside camping with direct swimming access to the Eel River. The event grounds will also feature the Jah Mall Village and Artisan Marketplace showcasing local crafts, eco friendly goods, and an expansive art gallery along with a dedicated Family Zone offering interactive youth programming and a diverse selection of local, organic food and beverage vendors.
