TelAve News/10888265
Muheto Hope Imaa and Declan McStravick inducted February 7, 2026, bringing global expertise in clean energy and healthcare leadership to strengthen service and community impact.
WEST ORANGE, N.J. - TelAve -- Some rooms feel different the moment you walk in. Friday night was one of those moments.
The Rotary Club of West Orange proudly inducted two extraordinary new members who represent exactly where service is headed next: globally aware, locally committed, and driven by purpose.
Muheto Hope Imaa, an MBA candidate at Montclair State University, brings an international lens shaped by her background in energy and environmental technology and operational experience across Africa. She is passionate about clean energy, leadership, and building partnerships that move sustainable development from conversation to action. Muheto doesn't just study impact. She builds it.
Joining her is Declan McStravick, a healthcare professional and Brand Ambassador for Hackensack Meridian Health. With a bachelor's degree in Health Science and an MBA, Declan works at the intersection of physicians, organizations, and patients to improve access to care. A former Division I collegiate soccer captain, he leads with discipline, teamwork, and heart. Service, relationships, and real results define how he shows up.

President Michael Karu and Membership Chair Cynthia Hadley-Bailey led the induction ceremony, officially welcoming both leaders into a network committed to service above self.
Rotary connects 1.2 million members across more than 200 countries and geographical areas, tackling humanitarian challenges both locally and globally. From healthcare access to environmental stewardship, the work matters and the impact lasts.
With Muheto and Declan now part of our Rotary family, the future feels bold, collaborative, and full of possibility.
