South Bend: City to Host Open House on Urban Forest and Tree Canopy Efforts

~ South Bend, IN- The City of South Bend is taking steps to expand its urban forest and increase access to trees throughout the community. On Monday, June 29, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., an open house will be held at the South Bend Technology Resource Center to showcase these efforts. The event is open to the public and will feature a presentation by 2026 McKinney Climate Fellow Diana Zebroski on priority tree-planting areas.
Community members are encouraged to attend and share their input on proposed planting locations. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the City's newest tree nursery located at Ignition Circle during a walking tour. Light refreshments will also be provided.
