CHICAGO, Sept. 3, 2025 ~ Chicago-based software solutions and system integration firm, RedMane Technology LLC, has announced that their Medicaid Benefits Eligibility and Enrollment system has received full certification from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The system was designed, developed, and implemented for the State of South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) Economic Assistance Division.

The certification, which was awarded after a rigorous Streamlined Modular Certification (SMC) assessment, is retroactive to September 2024. This certification affirms the system's compliance, functionality, and positive outcomes for South Dakota residents.

RedMane's modern integrated eligibility solution is built on the Cúram platform. It streamlines data verification and eligibility determination processes while reducing manual tasks. This results in an improved experience for applicants and recipients. The Medicaid eligibility system was launched by South Dakota DSS in March 2024 and has since been continuously enhanced to provide more features and capabilities to better serve residents.

The cloud-based solution includes a citizen-facing web portal and supports eligibility determinations through a robust rules engine. It also automates change-of-circumstance processing, enables renewals, reporting, and seamless integration with federal and state systems. These capabilities reduce administrative burden and improve overall service delivery.

Following the successful implementation of the Medicaid program in its first phase, Phase two is currently underway to expand the platform to include Child Care benefits. This will further consolidate eligibility processes under a single modern cloud-based system.
