Sparkes Event Solutions Certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council
TelAve News/10862326
CHANTILLY, Va. - TelAve -- Sparkes Event Solutions, a business specializing in strategic corporate and community event planning, is proud to announce national certification as both a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) and a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) by the Women's Business Enterprise Council Greater DMV (WBEC DMV), a regional certifying partner of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC Certification is the gold standard for women-owned business certification in the United States.
"Being WBE and WOSB certified is more than just a credential—it's a validation of the years of intentional work we've put into building a company grounded in professionalism, process, and purpose," said Ebony Sparkes, CEO and Managing Director of Sparkes Event Solutions. "These certifications give us the opportunity to grow through partnerships that value diversity and excellence, and they connect us to a powerful network of women-owned businesses who are reshaping industries. It's about opening doors for others, too, and creating a lasting impact beyond the events we produce."

The WBENC standard of certification implemented by WBEC Greater DMV includes a meticulous process involving an in-depth business review and a site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm that a business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women—and that it has the appropriate structure, strategy, and planning in place.
By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and expanding their supplier diversity programs, which in turn empowers women as leaders and contributes to a more balanced, innovative, and sustainable economy.
WBENC Certification—combined with ongoing engagement in the WBENC network—offers year-round opportunities for professional development, connections with major corporations, and growth through programming and events.
