~ As the holiday season continues, the city of Springfield is buzzing with festive activities for all to enjoy. The Mayor's Tree Lighting and Holiday Show, which took place on Saturday, drew in a crowd of approximately 3,000 people to downtown Springfield.

For those looking to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, they can visit their house at the base of the Christmas tree on Park Central Square every Friday and Saturday night from 5-8 p.m. until December 20th. The popular SGF Holiday Express Train will also be running during these times, offering free rides for all.

In addition, visitors can take a free horse-drawn carriage ride on select nights throughout the month. These rides will be available from 6-9 p.m. on November 28th and 29th, as well as December 13th, 19th, and 20th.

For those who love ice skating, Brightspeed Ice Park is offering free skating sessions on November 28th and December 19th from 6:30-9:15 p.m., as well as Christmas Eve from 2-4:45 p.m.

For those who missed the Mayor's Tree Lighting and Holiday Show or want to relive the magic, KY3 will be rebroadcasting it at 10:35 p.m. on Christmas Eve following their regular newscast at 10 p.m.
