Staydium Collegiate Sports Platform, Names Stephen Hobbs Vice President of Business Development

TelAve News/10904478
DESTIN, Fla. - TelAve -- Staydium, the technology and media company building the commercial and fan experience layer for collegiate athletics, today announced the continued expansion of its platform and the appointment of Stephen Hobbs as Vice President of Business Development. Hobbs joins as the company scales a network that now includes more than 60 contracted Division I programs.

Staydium works with athletic departments to turn game day into a connected digital environment. Fans scan a code in the venue and reach a school-branded page carrying live scores, curated music, interactive games and sponsor placements giving programs a first-party relationship with the people in their stands and giving brands a measurable way into an audience that has been difficult to reach at scale.

The company's roadmap centers on three areas: expanding the university network across more sports and more venues, deepening the audience and performance data available to schools and partners, and building national brand programs that run across the full footprint rather than school by school.

"The opportunity in college athletics is not another sponsorship inventory business it is the infrastructure underneath it," said Matt Staver, CEO of Staydium. "Schools need better tools to reach their own fans, and brands need a smarter way to participate in that moment. We are building both. Stephen has spent his career turning emerging platforms into scalable businesses, and he will help us develop the partnerships and revenue strategies that take this into its next phase."

In the role, Hobbs will lead business development across brand and agency partnerships, media and advertising revenue, collegiate relationships, content opportunities and data-driven solutions.

Hobbs brings nearly three decades of experience building media businesses and revenue models across audio, digital, sports and multicultural media. He held senior roles at Univision, helped launch AIRE Radio Networks, and co-founded reVolver Podcasts, which grew into a leading U.S. Hispanic podcast network.

"College athletics sits at the intersection of passionate fan communities, valuable first-party relationships and brands looking for authentic ways to participate," Hobbs said. "Staydium can build a media, data and technology ecosystem around college sports that helps schools unlock new value and creates better experiences for fans themselves. That is the business I want to help build."
