Steve Gundy Coaching Launches Parent Resource for Families of Neurodivergent Teens and Young Adults
TelAve News/10905602
The Steve Gundy Coaching Method Parent Resource gives parents a practical framework for helping teens and young adults with ADHD, autism, and executive functioning challenges build greater independence.
GRANGER, Ind. - TelAve -- Steve Gundy Coaching Practice, LLC has launched the Steve Gundy Coaching Method Parent Resource, a self-guided resource designed for parents of teens and young adults with ADHD, autism, and executive functioning challenges who want to help their young person develop greater independence, follow-through, and ownership.
The resource grew from Steve Gundy's work with individuals and families navigating a common challenge: a young person may understand what needs to happen and genuinely want greater independence, yet still struggle to consistently initiate, organize, remember, or follow through. Parents can find themselves providing repeated reminders, directions, and problem-solving simply to keep everyday life moving.

The Steve Gundy Coaching Method gives parents a practical framework for understanding where that process is breaking down before simply adding another strategy.
The six-module resource takes parents through a progression of observing what is actually happening, identifying the specific bottleneck, creating external systems that help important thoughts and intentions remain available, experimenting with practical solutions, learning from breakdowns in follow-through, and gradually transferring greater ownership to the young person.
"The goal isn't simply to get a young person to complete more tasks," said Steve Gundy, founder of Steve Gundy Coaching. "It's to help parents understand where the breakdown is occurring and create practical supports that allow the young person to experience movement, build confidence, and take increasing ownership of their own life."
One of the central ideas of the method is what Gundy describes as "building a place where thoughts wait for us." Rather than relying primarily on a parent to repeatedly carry reminders for the young person, the method helps families develop external systems that protect important thoughts and make it possible to return to them and follow through.
