Tacoma: Arrest Made in Connection with 2024 Homicide

~ On July 13, 2026, a suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred in Tacoma back in 2024. The Tacoma Police detectives have been working tirelessly on this case and have finally made a breakthrough.
The incident took place on July 15, 2024, when the Tacoma Police received a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of East 28th Street. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male who had sustained gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts by both the police and fire department personnel to save his life, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

During the course of their investigation, detectives were able to gather enough evidence to develop probable cause for the arrest of the suspect. The adult male suspect turned himself in at the request of detectives and was subsequently booked into Pierce County Jail for Murder in the Second Degree.
The suspect had remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives during their investigation. Assistance was also provided by troopers from Washington State Patrol and officers from Puyallup Tribal Police Department.
Crime Scene Technicians and Detectives were called to the scene to gather evidence and conduct further investigations into this tragic incident. The suspect's identity has not yet been released by authorities as they continue their investigation into this homicide case.
