Team NiSCA Discontinues Its ID Card Printer Line
TelAve News/10901323
Team NiSCA has discontinued its ID card printer line as of July 2026. Aptika will continue supplying available ribbons and consumables while recommending Evolis Primacy 2 and Agilia printers as modern replacements.
MONTREAL - TelAve -- Team NiSCA has announced that its brand will be sunsetted at the end of July 2026. As a result, Team NiSCA ID card printers are being discontinued, and no new printers will be produced under the brand.
For many years, Team NiSCA manufactured direct-to-card and retransfer printers, including the PR-C101, PR-C151 and PR-C201. These printers have been used worldwide to produce employee badges, membership cards, access-control credentials and other identification cards.
Although the printer line is ending, support for existing Team NiSCA printers will remain available. Drivers, firmware, manuals, technical documentation and product-support resources are expected to remain online.
Team NiSCA ribbons and consumables
Aptika will continue selling genuine Team NiSCA ribbons and available consumables for existing printers.

Team NiSCA has not publicly announced a final availability date for ribbons, retransfer films, laminates, parts or other supplies. Availability may therefore vary by printer model and product.
Aptika will continue supplying Team NiSCA ribbons and consumables for as long as they remain available through the manufacturer and distribution channels.
Recommended replacement for the PR-C101 and PR-C151
For customers using a Team NiSCA PR-C101 or PR-C151 direct-to-card printer, Aptika recommends the Evolis Primacy 2.
Primacy 2 offers print speeds of up to 280 cards per hour and is a strong replacement for the PR-C101 and PR-C151.

Recommended replacement for the PR-C201
For customers using a Team NiSCA PR-C201 retransfer printer, Aptika recommends the Evolis Agilia.

More on TelAve News
Like the PR-C201, Agilia uses retransfer technology, printing the image onto a transparent film before transferring it to the card. This produces excellent image quality and allows over-the-edge printing.
Agilia is well suited for organizations requiring high-resolution photos, small text, detailed graphics, smart-card encoding or full-bleed card production.
Do you need to replace your Team NiSCA printer immediately?
Not necessarily. A working Team NiSCA printer may continue to provide years of service if it is properly maintained and the required consumables remain available. Planning ahead allows time to test the replacement printer, validate card designs and avoid production interruptions.
Aptika can help
Aptika will continue supporting Team NiSCA customers and supplying available ribbons and consumables. We can also evaluate your current printer configuration and recommend an appropriate Evolis or other brand replacement.
Contact Aptika for help selecting a replacement printer, confirming encoding requirements or identifying the correct ribbon for your Team NiSCA printer.
