Texas: Governor Abbott Announces Austin Holder As Director Of Legislative Affairs

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Austin Holder as the new Director of Legislative Affairs for the Office of the Governor. This decision comes after Holder's previous roles as Deputy Legislative Director and Deputy Budget Director for the same office.
Governor Abbott expressed his confidence in Holder, stating that he has been a trusted advisor in delivering policies that have kept Texas as the strongest state in the nation. He also highlighted Holder's experience in the legislative process and dedication to public service, which he believes will benefit Texans for years to come.
Holder brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to joining the Office of the Governor, he worked at a prominent government affairs practice where he represented the interests of Fortune 500 companies and other businesses before the Texas Legislature, state agencies, and state boards and commissions. He also has over a decade of public service experience in Texas state government.

Holder's previous roles include serving as a budget analyst in the Senate Finance Committee with a focus on natural resources, economic and business development, regulatory agencies, and disaster funding. He has also served in the executive branch under both Governor Rick Perry of Texas and Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Holder is an active member of Saint Theresa's Catholic Church in Austin. He holds a master's degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas and an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University.
With his extensive background and dedication to public service, Austin Holder is poised to lead legislative affairs for the Office of the Governor with excellence. Texans can look forward to his leadership and service in years to come.
