Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Bramow To 425th Judicial District In Williamson County

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Jason Bramow as the new Judge of the 425th Judicial District Court in Williamson County. This appointment will be effective from September 1, 2026, until December 31, 2028, or until his successor is elected and qualified.

Governor Abbott expressed his confidence in Bramow's abilities, stating that he has served Texas with distinction as the deputy general counsel in his office. He believes that Bramow's unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law makes him an excellent choice for this position and will ensure justice is served with fairness and integrity.

Bramow, a resident of Round Rock, brings a wealth of experience to this role. He currently serves as the deputy general counsel in the Office of the Governor and has previously held positions such as general counsel for Texas State Senator Phil King and assistant attorney general for the Texas Office of the Attorney General. He also worked as an assistant district attorney for the Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney's Office.

In addition to his legal career, Bramow is an active member of various professional organizations such as the State Bar of Texas (SBOT), Texas Bar College, The Federalist Society, Texas Supreme Court Historical Society, Williamson County American Inn of Court, and Williamson County Bar Association. He also serves as a council member for the Constitutional Law Section of SBOT.

Bramow holds an impressive educational background with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management, a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning, and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University. He is also a member of Hill Country Bible Church and has previously served as a governor's fellow in Governor Abbott's Office and as a director on the board of Austin Young Lawyers Association.

With his extensive experience and qualifications, Bramow is well-equipped to serve as Judge of the 425th Judicial District Court and uphold justice for Williamson County.
