Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Holley As District Attorney Of The 9th Judicial District In Montgomery County

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Michael "Mike" Holley as the new District Attorney for the 9th Judicial District in Montgomery County. Holley, who currently serves as the first assistant district attorney in the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, will hold this position until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Holley brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served in the United States Army for over thirteen years. During his time in the military, he primarily worked in the Judge Advocate General's Corps and handled some of the Army's most serious cases. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Abilene Christian University, a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, and a Master of Laws from the United States Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School.
