UMUAHIA, Nigeria - TelAve -- Newtown, CT Author Publishes Historical Novel
This Based-On-Real-Events Novel is the story of the Nigerian-Biafra Civil War
The Biafran Conscriptors: Memoirs of the Nigerian-Biafra Civil War (1967-1970), a new book by Dr. Anselm Chibuike Anyoha, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.
Having grown up during the Nigeria-Biafra civil war, Dr. Anselm Chibuike Anyoha gives a realistic view of what children had to endure during these tough times. Seen through the eyes of a child, it shows how children perceive issues differently than adults. Not only does this historical fiction story show the point of view of children, but it also shows the point of view from the enemy, the Conscriptors. This dramatic retelling of a real historical event shows the different ways people can be affected by wars.
About the Author
Dr. Anselm Chibuike Anyoha was born in Onitsha, Nigeria. He attended medical school at the university college hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria. In 1992, Dr. Anyoha immigrated to the United States and completed his residency training in pediatrics at Brookdale hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He currently has a private practice in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Dr. Anyoha also has a nonprofit organization that aids seniors in his hometown of Akokwa, Nigeria.
