Weirding Way Media launches the podcast's second season ahead of The Rings of Power Season Three
DETROIT - TelAve -- Weirding Way Media announces the return of The Podcast of Power for its long-awaited second season, beginning with an exclusive interview featuring Emmy Award-winning composer Bear McCreary.
Hosted by Mike White of The Projection Booth and Chris Stachiw of The Kulturecast, The Podcast of Power combines episode-by-episode analysis of Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power with spirited discussion of J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium and its adaptations.
Season Two will revisit all eight episodes of the series' second season, including Sauron's return, the creation of the Rings, the fall of Eregion, Númenor's political upheaval, and the gathering conflict reshaping Middle-earth. Weekly installments will lead into the podcast's third season, scheduled to premiere alongside The Rings of Power Season Three on November 11, 2026.

The premiere features an in-depth conversation with McCreary, who has composed the series' episodic score since its 2022 debut. His credits include Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, Outlander, and the God of War franchise.
McCreary discusses creating a musical language for Middle-earth and distinctive themes for the characters, kingdoms, and cultures of the Second Age. He also explains connections hidden within the score, including the deliberate octave leap shared by his themes for Galadriel, Númenor, and Eregion.
"Bear McCreary's music doesn't merely accompany The Rings of Power—it helps build its world," White said. "His themes give the characters and kingdoms histories we can feel before the story explains them. We couldn't imagine a better way to return to Middle-earth."
Season Two will feature weekly episode breakdowns, listener mailbags, and interviews with members of the cast and creative team. Prime Video has announced that Season Three will premiere November 11 with four episodes, followed by two episodes November 18 and the final two November 25.

Set several years after Season Two, the new season moves into the War of the Elves and Sauron as the Dark Lord consolidates his power and forges the One Ring. A fourth season is in development, although Prime Video has not formally announced its renewal.
The Podcast of Power is produced by Weirding Way Media, the independent podcast network behind The Projection Booth, The Kulturecast, Scary Stories We Tell, Film Foundations, and other film, television, and popular-culture programs.
New episodes will be available weekly through Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Spreaker, and other major podcast platforms.
