ELKINS, W.Va. - TelAve -- The Railyard Event & Conference Center is now open in historic downtown Elkins, welcoming guests to a 28,000-square-foot venue built on the former site of the city's iconic railroad roundhouse.
Blending Appalachian heritage with modern amenities, The Railyard is designed to host weddings, conferences, corporate gatherings, banquets, community events and live entertainment throughout the year.
Managed by Taylor Hospitality and developed by the Randolph County Development Authority, the venue transforms a site once central to the region's railroad industry into a full-service destination for meetings, celebrations and performances. The Railyard features flexible event spaces, advanced audiovisual capabilities, on-site event coordination and a walkable location near downtown shops, restaurants and lodging.
"The Railyard was created as a space where celebrations, connections and community come together," said Shane Jones, general manager of The Railyard. "Opening our doors to Elkins and visitors from across the region is exactly the moment we've been building toward."
