SANTA CLARA, Calif. - TelAve -- netElastic, an innovative software company providing high-performance routing solutions, today announced Ufone has selected netElastic's virtual broadband network gateway (vBNG) to keep their services fast, reliable, and cost-effective.

Ufone, based in Auckland, Zealand, has become one of the country's leading VoIP service providers by delivering state-of-the-art communications services. Ufone was looking for a BNG (or BRAS) as part of a network upgrade that took months of meticulous planning and implementation. In addition to evaluating netElastic vBNG, Ufone also looked at BNGs from a few large router manufacturers.

"The big router manufacturers required close to 1,000% more investment dollars for a single BNG (compared to netElastic), since we were expected to purchase a larger number of licenses up-front than we actually needed," according to Ufone's CEO Nigel Rayneau. "The cost savings by using the netElastic vBNG on the provider edge allowed us to invest more in our core and backbone infrastructure, allowing us to provide all the benefits and features that our larger competitors provide, but also to strengthen our overall network for less cost."
