UK Author Launches Ready-to-Teach Space Science Lesson Plans for Primary Teachers and Homeschoolers
TelAve News/10910515
Ten print-ready STEM and literacy lessons, with curriculum links and differentiation built in, take children from balloon rockets to coding a countdown
HAYWARDS HEATH, U.K. - TelAve -- Sussex, UK. Children's author Matt Newnham has launched the Space Science Lesson Plan Pack, a set of ten complete lessons designed to take the planning pressure off teachers, homeschooling parents and club leaders. Built around his book Space Ranger Fred and The Shoelace Adventure.
The pack contains nine STEM lessons and one creative writing lesson. Every plan is tied to scenes, characters and ideas from the book, so children are solving problems for a story they already know and enjoy. The lessons also work as a standalone resource, and the book is not required.
Each lesson includes clear learning objectives, National Curriculum links with year group guidance, a fully timed starter, main activities and plenary, differentiation for support, core and extension groups, discussion questions, and assessment ideas. Results tables, activity grids and writing frames are included and ready to print.

Quote from Matt Newnham
"Space is the one topic that gets the reluctant scientist, the keen mathematician and the child who just wants to draw aliens all leaning in at the same time," said Matt Newnham, author of the Space Ranger Fred series. "Teachers and parents are short on time, so I wanted to give them something they could print on Sunday evening and teach on Monday morning, with the curriculum links, differentiation and assessment already done."
