Update: Columbia Police arrest suspects in shooting on Clark Lane

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police have made arrests in connection with a shooting that occurred on June 24 on Clark Lane. Chase Ricketts, 19, of Columbia, and a juvenile male have been taken into custody for their involvement in the incident.
Ricketts has been charged with felony tampering with physical evidence, while the juvenile male is facing charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action. The shooting took place at around 4:05 p.m., with police responding to two shots-fired calls in the 5100 block of Clark Lane and the 1300 block of Godas Drive.
After further investigation, it was determined that there was only one shooting incident with two victims at the Clark Lane location. One victim, a juvenile male, was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Minutes later, an adult male with gunshot wounds was located in the 400 block of Keene Street after being taken there by a personal vehicle. Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Columbia Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident and is asking anyone with information to come forward. They can contact the department at 573.874.7652 or provide information anonymously through CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477 or online at http://www.p3tips.com/899. A cash reward of up to $2,500 may be given for information leading to an arrest.
According to Missouri statutes, first-degree assault (565.050), first-degree robbery (570.023), armed criminal action (571.015), unlawful use of a weapon (571.030), and tampering with physical evidence (575.100) are all serious offenses that carry severe penalties.
This case has been assigned number 2026-005872 and updates will be provided as they become available.
