Warrior Homes of Collier introduces new endowment fund
TelAve News/10883518
NAPLES, Fla. - TelAve -- Warrior Homes of Collier has announced a new endowment fund that will allow supporters the chance to make a one-time contribution that will fund the nonprofit in perpetuity.
This new opportunity, aimed at ending veteran homelessness in Collier County, will enable assets such as cash, stock, bonds, IRA distributions, estate gifts and real estate to be used as donations into the endowment.
The fund is managed by the Collier Community Foundation. Assets given into the fund are tax-deductible, ensure long-term stewardship, financial transparency and align with Warrior Homes of Collier County's charitable purpose.
Housing remains one of the most urgent challenges in our community, particularly when it comes to affordability and availability. According to the most recent Housing Alliance report, rents in Collier County have increased by 50% over the past two years, while 35% of local jobs pay less than $35,000 annually. Seniors and veterans living on fixed incomes are among the most vulnerable. Many rely on Social Security alone, averaging just $1,000–$1,200 per month.

Warrior Homes of Collier's long-term supportive housing program provides veterans with a safe, stable and healthy place to live while ensuring they pay no more than 30% of their gross income toward housing.
The organization currently operates six Naples residences for local veterans: Alpha House, a short-term, transitional home for those in recovery from substance use issues; Delta House, a supportive housing complex with 10 apartments for up to 20 veterans; as well as Bravo, Charlie, Echo and Foxtrot Houses, which provide long-term supportive housing for Veterans. Renovations to a seventh building for another 20 residents are expected to begin this month bringing the total bed count to 59. The building should be ready for occupancy in 3-6 months.
For more information on how to donate to the endowment fund, email info@wwcollier.org or visit wwcollier.org/donate.
