Warrior Homes of Collier receives $50,000 Continuum of Care grant
TelAve News/10882880
NAPLES, Fla. - TelAve -- Warrior Homes of Collier received a $50,000 Continuum of Care (CoC) grant from the Southwest Florida Regional Coalition to End Homelessness to support the nonprofit's work of providing senior veterans with rapid, affordable housing.
The CoC is a framework for a comprehensive array of housing and services to meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
The primary responsibility of a CoC is to help communities plan comprehensive and long-term solutions to the problem of homelessness and to promote community-wide commitment to prevent and end homelessness.
"The Southwest Florida Regional Coalition to End Homelessness is a tremendous supporter of our organization, and we sincerely appreciate this amazing gift," said Dale Mullin, a retired Vietnam veteran, founder and president of Warrior Homes of Collier. "Our mission is able to continue thanks to the generosity and efforts of groups like the Southwest Florida Regional Coalition to End Homelessness."
