Arizona Technology Council Adds TBL Co-Founder Marvin Rowell III to Board of Directors

Board Also Reelects Bob Krakauer of Verrus to Three-Year Term
PHOENIX - TelAve -- The Arizona Technology Council today announced it has appointed Marvin Rowell III, co-founder and managing partner of TBL, to its board of directors. At the Council's quarterly board meeting, Rowell was elected unanimously to serve a three-year term.
In addition, Bob Krakauer, chief financial officer of Verrus, was reelected to serve another three-year term on the board. He continues his role after previously serving while chief financial officer of Arevon.
"Marvin brings extensive expertise in one of Arizona's fastest-growing technology sectors: data centers and critical infrastructure," said Steven G. Zylstra, president and CEO of the Council. "Combined with Bob's deep financial leadership and longstanding contributions to Arizona's innovation ecosystem, their experience will further strengthen our board as we continue advancing the state's technology economy. We look forward to Marvin's perspective and to Bob's continued service."
The board of directors serves an advisory and fiduciary role by representing the interests of the state's technology sectors in the Council's strategic planning and ongoing operations. The current board consists of 36 members representing a diverse set of organizations.

Marvin Rowell III, co-founder and managing partner, TBL
Rowell is the co-founder and managing partner of TBL, a premier data center construction, service, maintenance and design partner. With more than a decade of operational experience managing data centers ranging from 80,000 to 600,000 square feet and supporting more than 50 megawatts of critical systems, Rowell is a seasoned leader in the data center industry.
Prior to co-founding TBL, Rowell served as vice president of Global Support and Service for Baselayer and director of Operations for IO Data Centers, where he led the installation of services for more than 500 customers globally across colocation and enterprise environments. He also played a key role in growing a colocation startup into a global business valued at more than $1.3 billion.
Rowell has commissioned and installed more than 100 Anywhere modules worldwide and is recognized for his expertise in data center design, construction and operational efficiency. Before entering the data center industry, he spent 10 years as a commercial electrician, providing him with extensive hands-on experience in electrical systems and installation.
Bob Krakauer, chief financial officer, Verrus
Krakauer serves as chief financial officer at Verrus and brings more than 30 years of experience building high-performing teams, optimizing financial operations, raising capital and driving business performance.

Prior to joining Verrus, Krakauer served as chief financial officer at Arevon, where he led strategic financial planning, tax, treasury and operational finance. During his tenure, the company raised more than $4 billion in capital, helping establish Arevon as a leader in the utility-scale renewable energy sector.
Earlier in his career, Krakauer led multiple leveraged buyouts and successfully raised capital through public and private equity, debt and credit markets. He also has served as chief financial officer for LifeLock, Magnachip Semiconductor, ChipPAC and Allied Signal Electronic Materials. Krakauer earned a Master of Business Administration in Operations and Decision Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Santa Clara University.
