SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - TelAve -- Sisily Chevalier certified at the first Breathwork Certification in Lake Tahoe, California in August 2026, and within two weeks she was booking paid sessions. On the September graduates' call she said: "I have two this weekend, a double next Wednesday, and I was asked to do a group session."

Liquid Breathwork is bringing the training back to South Lake Tahoe for July 30 to August 1, 2027. It is the practice's only date in Northern California and the only one in the Sierra.

Five early seats sell at $1,997, then the price moves to $2,497. A $250 deposit holds your spot, and payment plans are available. Your deposit transfers to another training date. Refunds are handled case by case.

"Of all our destination trainings, Lake Tahoe in the summer is the one we look forward to most," said Ryan McBurney, who started Liquid Breathwork with Shelby Von Oepen. "You spend three days breathing fresh mountain air among the pines, with an alpine lake waiting for you when the day is done. It's beautiful up there."

Fly into Reno-Tahoe International, since Lake Tahoe Airport has no airline service. Reno is an hour away by car, or the South Tahoe Airporter runs daily to Stateline. Sacramento is two hours up US-50.

Ryan and Shelby co-teach the weekend. You learn to guide a breather down into the body instead of driving them toward a peak, starting from the sigh of relief. Most of the three days is practice, with notes from both of them while you're still in the room.

Sessions go 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with snacks, and the training takes 20 people. The venue is not signed yet. Expect highs near 80 and mornings near 40. Summer can bring wildfire smoke into the basin, so check AirNow.gov the week of the training.
