DERBY, U.K. - TelAve -- Kevin Tunnicliffe, CEO of Derby-based conveyancing platform SortRefer, has been named Business Leader: Conveyancer at this year's British Mortgage Awards and most influential CEO in Derbyshire for Conveyancing Services by CEO Monthly Magazine.
Kevin scooped the coveted award at an awards evening, which took place at the Park Plaza in Westminster and was compered by comedian Russell Kane.
The British Mortgage Awards, which are organised by Mortgage Solution, recognise the stand-out achievements of those individuals in the UK mortgage industry who have gone above and beyond expectations over the past 12 months and demonstrated business excellence.
There were 29 categories this year, with awards given to brokers, lenders, business leaders, surveyors, conveyancers, protection and general insurance providers.
The Business Leader: Conveyancer award was awarded to the individual who has demonstrated a desire to contribute to a more efficient homebuying process and show an innovative approach to problems, while pushing for a speedy and faultless service to clients.

Kevin beat off competition from Ian Errington at Blacks Solicitors and Darren Hall from Countrywide Conveyancing Services to win the award, which is widely acknowledged as the pinnacle of success in the UK mortgage industry.
Kevin has also been named CEO Monthly Magazine's most influential CEO in Derbyshire for Conveyancing Services.
The magazine, which has attracted 402,000 plus page views on its website over the past 12 months, hand picks its winners based on a comprehensive analysis and research.
SortRefer is a free to use online portal for mortgage brokers. It was launched in 2009 by a group of ex-brokers who were frustrated at the lack of reliable conveyancing sources.
Since then, the company has expanded rapidly, and its conveyancing platform now directly improves the delivery of the conveyancing function.
Commenting on the award, Kevin Tunnicliffe, CEO of SortRefer, said:
"I'm thrilled to win the award for Business Leader: Conveyancer. But this isn't just down to me, it's down to a massive team effort, from our in-house tech team, sales support team, marketing and our relationship team.
