(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ The City of Columbia Youth Advisory Council (YAC) has resumed its work to advise the City Council on matters concerning the youth and youth-related issues. The council's mission is to empower the young members of Columbia's community by encouraging their involvement and developing the necessary skills for a better future.

Under the leadership of YAC Chair Grace Harris, the group will focus on three main areas: sustainability, wellness, and youth safety and security. Harris expressed her excitement about strengthening connections between the youth and the community in her role as chair this year.
