(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia police responded to a report of shots fired on the evening of May 9 in the 900 block of Moss Street. Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old victim with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was given medical assistance until emergency medical personnel arrived and was then transported to a local hospital.

The Criminal Investigation Division joined in the investigation and obtained a search warrant at the crime scene, where evidence was discovered. As a result, 18-year-old Kieran Piersee from Columbia was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon.
