Florida: Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Three to the Pasco-Hernando State College District Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Governor Ron DeSantis has made some significant appointments to the Pasco-Hernando State College District Board of Trustees. Toni Zetzsche has been appointed, while Gino Collura and Marilyn Pearson-Adams have been reappointed to the board.

Zetzsche, who holds a PhD, is currently the Chief Communications and Community Engagement Officer for Pasco County Schools. She is an active member of various organizations in her community, including the Greater Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Council for Exceptional Children, and the Pasco County Commission on the Status of Women. Zetzsche's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of South Florida, a master's degree in elementary education from Roosevelt University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Capella University.

Collura, also with a PhD, is the Founder of Big Guava Management. He is actively involved in his community and serves on several boards such as Prison Rehabilitative Industries and Diversified Enterprises Inc., as well as being an advisory board member for various universities and organizations including Heroes Adapt Inc. Collura obtained his bachelor's degree, master's degree in international relations, and doctorate in neuroanthropology from the University of South Florida.

Pearson-Adams has been reappointed to the board as well. She is currently the Owner and Broker of Century 21 Alliance Realty in Spring Hill. Pearson-Adams is an active member of multiple real estate associations at national, state, and local levels. In 2020, she was also honored with induction into the National Association of Realtors Hall of Fame. Pearson-Adams attended El Camino Junior College.

These appointments are still subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate before they can officially take their positions on the board. With their diverse backgrounds and experience in their respective fields, Zetzsche, Collura, and Pearson-Adams are expected to bring valuable insights and contributions to the Pasco-Hernando State College District Board of Trustees.
