TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Sara Bayliss and Jonathan Rees to the Tallahassee State College District Board of Trustees. Additionally, Karen Moore has been reappointed to the board.

Bayliss brings a wealth of experience to the board as a College Admissions Advisor at St. John Paul II Catholic High School and a Counselor at Game Plan College Admissions Counseling. She is also an active member of her community, serving on the Florida High School Athletic Association Board of Directors. Bayliss holds a bachelor's degree in management information systems and French from the University of Iowa and a master's degree in business administration from Florida State University.

Joining Bayliss on the board is Jonathan Rees, who currently serves as a Partner for SBM Partners. With previous experience as the Director of State Government Affairs for Anheuser-Busch and Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Rees brings valuable knowledge to the table. He also served as a Legislative Assistant for former State Representative and Congressman Ross Spano. Rees earned his bachelor's degree in international affairs from Florida State University.

Karen Moore has been reappointed to the board after previously serving as its Chair. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of The Moore Agency and is actively involved in her community through her roles on various boards such as the Florida College System Foundation Board of Directors, Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and BioFlorida Board of Directors. Moore holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Central Florida.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate, but Governor DeSantis is confident that these individuals will bring valuable perspectives and expertise to their roles on the Tallahassee State College District Board of Trustees.
