Florida: Governor Ron DeSantis Reappoints Four to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has reappointed four individuals to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. The reappointees include Fernando Acosta-Rua, Michelle Barnett, Matt Connell, and David Hodges Jr.

Acosta-Rua is a Principal and Shareholder for Heritage Capital Group. He is also actively involved in his community, serving as Chair of the Alivia Care, Inc. Board of Directors and previously serving on The Bolles School Board of Trustees. Acosta-Rua holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and communications from the University of Florida and a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University.

Barnett is an Attorney and Founding Shareholder of Alexander, DeGance, Barnett, P.A. She is also an active member of her community, currently serving on the Jacksonville University Public Policy Institute Board of Trustees. Barnett received her bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Florida and her juris doctor from Vanderbilt University.

Connell serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Total Military Management and is a member of both the International Association of Movers and the American Moving and Storage Association. He was also recognized with the Ultimate Chief Executive Officer Award by the Jacksonville Business Journal. Connell holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Valdosta State University.

Hodges Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hodges Management Group, Inc., also serves as Chairman & Partner of 925 Partners Insurance Agency. He has previously held positions such as Family Office Principal for The Tebow Group and Co-owner of both Tahoe Knight Monsters and Augusta Pro Hockey teams. Hodges earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Liberty University and his master's degree in business administration from Jacksonville University.

These appointments are now pending confirmation by the Florida Senate before they can officially take their positions on the Jacksonville Aviation Authority board. With their diverse backgrounds and experience in various industries, these individuals are expected to bring valuable insights and expertise to the board.
