TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Alan Suskey and Dr. Cody Vanlandingham to the Florida Athletic Commission. Suskey, who currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Shumaker Advisors, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the commission. He is also an active member of the Florida Is For Veterans, Inc. Board of Directors and is a veteran of the United States Army.

With a bachelor's degree in political science from American Military University, Suskey is well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of this new role. Joining him on the commission is Dr. Cody Vanlandingham, a Medical Doctor at Tallahassee Medical Group. Dr. Vanlandingham is also actively involved in his community as a member of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, the Capital Medical Society, and the Florida State University College of Medicine Selection Committee.

Dr. Vanlandingham holds both a bachelor's degree in biology and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Florida State University. These appointments are now pending confirmation by the Florida Senate before they can officially join the Florida Athletic Commission.
