FORT MYERS, Fla. - TelAve -- Harry Chapin Food Bank has named Vennitta Campbell as its new chief financial officer, bringing more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience to the organization as it prepares to move into its new Fort Myers Hunger Action Center and advance its capital campaign for Naples.

Campbell's background spans nonprofit organizations, construction, health care, banking and property management. Her expertise includes financial planning and reporting, budgeting, grant compliance, auditing, internal controls and operational improvements. As CFO, she will help align the food bank's financial resources with its mission and support the long-term sustainability of its programs and facilities.

"Strong financial leadership is about making sure an organization has the resources and infrastructure necessary to fulfill its mission," said Campbell. I am excited to support the organization's growth and help ensure that today's investments strengthen our ability to serve the community tomorrow."

Campbell succeeds Steve Soucy, who is retiring after serving as the food bank's CFO for nearly 10 years. Soucy will remain as a consultant to support the leadership transition, the move into the new Fort Myers facility and the organization's work on the Naples capital campaign.

"Steve's leadership has helped establish the financial foundation that makes this next chapter possible," LeBer added. "We are grateful for his nearly decade of service and for his continued guidance during this important transition."

Campbell began her new role on Oct. 5, working with Soucy and the leadership team to support a smooth transition and the food bank's next phase of growth.
