Ocean Ambassadors: Interactive Resources for Cambridge Marine Science (9693)
TelAve News/10901793
Founded by a practicing high school teacher, the platform turns a subject with few dedicated materials into hands-on simulations, revision games, and exam-focused practice.
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - TelAve -- Ocean Ambassadors, an independent educational platform for Cambridge International AS & A Level Marine Science (syllabus 9693), has officially launched. Known in many U.S. schools as AICE Marine Science, the subject has long lacked dedicated digital resources built for it. Founded and developed by a practicing high school Marine Science teacher, Ocean Ambassadors sets out to change that, offering free classroom-ready tools for teachers alongside a paid self-paced course for students preparing to sit the exam.
Marine Science is one of Cambridge's more specialized subjects, and teachers have historically had few materials designed specifically for it. Instructors often piece lessons together from general biology and oceanography sources that were never mapped to the 9693 syllabus. Ocean Ambassadors was created to close that gap, with every resource written to Cambridge conventions and assessment objectives from the ground up.

The platform's free library gives teachers a deep set of interactive tools at no cost. These include simulations spanning the full syllabus — thermohaline circulation, ocean acidification, El Nino, tides, plate boundaries, and energy flow among them — each paired with a student worksheet and teacher answer key. Teachers will also find self-marking practice questions aligned to Cambridge assessment objectives, an interactive glossary of more than 300 marine science terms, a Marine Maths toolkit for the exam's quantitative skills, and revision games designed to make studying genuinely engaging.
For students, Ocean Ambassadors offers a paid self-paced course that guides candidates through the syllabus at their own pace. It combines clear explanation, interactive practice, and exam-style questions in one structured path, giving learners a self-directed route to exam readiness whether they are supplementing classroom instruction or preparing on their own.
The platform is built for a broad audience: teachers delivering the AICE program in U.S. schools, students preparing for AS and A Level exams internationally, and independent learners studying outside a traditional classroom. Ocean Ambassadors is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cambridge Assessment International Education; it exists simply to support the teachers and students working with the 9693 syllabus, wherever they happen to be.

Every resource on the platform has been refined through real classroom use and shared with a growing community of AICE Marine Science educators. Built and maintained by a working teacher rather than a large publisher, Ocean Ambassadors reflects what students genuinely struggle with and what teachers actually need day to day. Teachers can explore the free resources at:

And students can access the self-paced course now at:
