CHICAGO - TelAve -- A patented automotive signaling concept called the U-Turn Signal Kit has been developed to address a familiar driving situation: the difficulty other motorists may have determining whether a vehicle displaying a conventional turn signal intends to make a standard turn or a U-turn.

The U-Turn Signal Kit introduces dedicated illuminated U-turn indicators designed to provide a more specific visual indication of a driver's intended maneuver.

The concept incorporates exterior and interior lighting assemblies along with a driver-operated activation device. The exterior signal is intended to provide visibility to oncoming and perpendicular traffic, while the rear-facing interior signal communicates the U-turn intention to motorists approaching from behind.

The wireless system is designed to allow the driver to activate the U-turn indicators from inside the vehicle without requiring a wired connection between the individual components. The lighting components are battery powered.
