Republic Services Residential Collection Driver Named Industry's Best

PHOENIX, May 7, 2025 ~ At the 2025 Waste Expo convention in Las Vegas, Republic Services, Inc. (NYSE: RSG) proudly announced that one of their own, Antonio (Tony) Carranza, had been named the 2025 National Residential Driver of the Year by the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). This prestigious award recognizes Carranza's exceptional commitment to safety and delivering a superior customer experience.
Carranza, who has been with Republic Services for over 42 years and is based in Chula Vista, California, was honored at the NWRA Awards Breakfast. The company's Chief Operating Officer Gregg Brummer presented him with the keys to a brand-new collection truck personalized with his name.
"Safety is the foundation of everything we do at Republic Services, and Tony exemplifies this commitment every day," said President and CEO Jon Vander Ark. "Tony is one of the industry's best, and we celebrate his dedication to serving our customers with excellence and care."
Carranza is known for his high safety standards, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. He is also a respected peer and leader among his team in Chula Vista.
Rick Rojas, general manager of Republic Services in Chula Vista, spoke highly of Carranza's character and work ethic. "I've known Tony for many years, and his dedication to his fellow employees and consistent positive attitude are a true testament to his character and work ethic," he said. "We regularly receive calls from the community with compliments on his service and professionalism."
