Rochester: Holidays at the Market Continues Sunday with Family Fun

~ The City of Rochester Public Market is inviting the public to celebrate the holiday season with them this Sunday, Dec. 10 and Thursday, Dec. 14. The "Holidays at the Market" series will feature dozens of local vendors offering unique and special gifts, holiday treats, fresh-cut trees and home décor.
The event has been a Rochester holiday tradition for more than 26 years and will include festive music and lights, visits with Santa from 9 a.m. to noon on Sundays, and horse-drawn carriage rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The special evening event on Dec. 14 will also feature shopping specials, visits with Santa, and carriage rides from 6 to 9 p.m., in collaboration with the Market District Business Association.

The Public Market's Holiday Cookie Contest is also returning this season for those who wish to participate by delivering six cookies and a list of ingredients to the Market Office between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., Saturday Dec 9 or 8-11 a.m., Sunday Dec 10 (one entry per person). First, second and third place winners will be awarded market tokens valued at $150, $75, and $55 respectively which will be announced on the City of Rochester Public Market's Facebook and Instagram accounts afterwards.
Gift tokens or Market swag can also be purchased at the Token Center behind the Market Office during regular market hours as an alternative gift option for family or friends this holiday season.
