Sara Burleson Announces Reelection Campaign for Midland ISD Board of Trustees, District 6

MIDLAND, Texas - TelAve -- Sara Burleson, current Midland ISD Board of Trustees member for District 6, announced today that she is seeking reelection to continue her work on behalf of Midland students, families, and educators.
Burleson has served on the board since her first election in November 2022, bringing more than 40 years in the Midland community and a career as a classroom teacher to her role as trustee. She was named Teacher of the Year at both Carver Center and Fannin Elementary during her teaching career, and later earned Region 18 Teacher of the Year honors.
During her time on the board, Burleson has focused on academic quality, fiscal responsibility, and support for teachers and staff. She was part of the board that passed Bond 2023, the $1.4 billion measure approved by Midland voters to address overcrowding, aging facilities, and campus safety across the district. She has also supported efforts to raise teacher pay and maintain a balanced district budget.

"It has been a privilege to serve our community on the Midland ISD Board of Trustees," Burleson said. "We have made so much progress for our students and our teachers, and there is still important work in front of us. Bond 2023 is under construction right now, and I want to see those projects through, watching every dollar closely and making sure our district delivers what voters were promised."
