~ As the holiday season approaches, the Parks & Recreation department is excited to announce their upcoming Holiday Pickleball Tournament at the Community Center on Saturday, December 27. This event promises to be a fun and friendly day on the courts for players of all levels.
The tournament will feature both beginner and advanced divisions, allowing players to compete at their skill level. Interested participants can register individually and are encouraged to list their preferred doubles partner. For those without a partner, the department will pair them up with another player.
The first session of the tournament will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with registration available online. This session is designed for players who have a basic understanding of serving and scoring but may still be developing their skills in third-shot and volley strategies. It is recommended for those who fall in the bottom 50 percent of recreational play at the Community Center.
