GREAT YARMOUTH, U.K. - TelAve -- Unit Manager Pro has launched self storage software built for independent operators in the UK and the United States, with a pricing model that charges only for units that are let. Operators can load every unit in their facility at no cost; a unit becomes billable only when a tenant signs a lease, and stops when the lease ends.

Many independent self storage facilities still collect rent by hand, track leases in spreadsheets and put off rent reviews. With Unit Manager Pro, tenants are charged on the due date by bank debit (Direct Debit in the UK, ACH in the US) or by saved card, and if a bank debit fails the saved card is tried so the rent still clears. Facilities can bill in pounds or US dollars. Reminders, overdue notices and late fees run on a schedule the operator sets.

The self storage management software also lets operators schedule rent increases for one unit or a whole facility. On the effective date the new rate applies to every active lease, and the tenant is notified automatically.

Online booking and a tenant portal included

Every plan includes a facility website builder with live unit availability and online booking. Customers can reserve a unit, e-sign the rental agreement and set up payment without phoning the facility, then use a self-service portal to pay invoices and manage their lease.

Pricing and availability

Unit Manager Pro is available now in the UK and the US, with pricing for each country on the website. In the UK, the Pay As You Grow plan costs £1.25 per leased unit a month for up to 20 let units. The Growth plan costs 1% of collected rent, capped at £2.50 per unit a month. There are no setup fees or long contracts, and a 14-day free trial needs no credit card.
