What If the Original Church of Jesus Christ Looked Different From Christianity Today?

Goldwell's Challenge: Prove Me Wrong. Compare Today's Christianity With the Church Described in the New Testament.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - TelAve -- Bruce Goldwell is not a trained theologian. He does not hold a degree in theology, lead a church, or claim ecclesiastical authority.

He is an author with a question.

And with the help of what he calls Super Intelligence — the combination of human curiosity, experience, and modern artificial intelligence — Goldwell began examining the New Testament in a way that led to an unexpected challenge:

If Jesus Christ established a Church, what did that Church actually look like?

Rather than beginning with the teachings of a modern denomination, Goldwell went back to the biblical record and began identifying the principles, offices, ordinances, and practices described in the Church established by Christ and continued by His apostles.

The resulting list raises some interesting questions.

The New Testament describes apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, bishops or overseers, elders and deacons. It describes authority, ordination and the laying on of hands. It describes baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, the Lord's Supper, healing, anointing with oil, spiritual gifts, revelation and missionary work.

It also contains teachings that raise deeper questions about Paradise, resurrection, preaching to the dead and even baptism for the dead.

Goldwell's new book, THE TRUTH, asks readers to examine those passages for themselves.

He isn't asking readers to simply believe him.

In fact, he's issuing the opposite challenge:

Prove me wrong.

Open the New Testament. Examine what was present in the original Church. Then ask a remarkably simple question:

Is there a Church in existence today that contains the same organization, authority, ordinances, offices and principles found in the Church established by Jesus Christ?

And if there is, which one?

Goldwell says the purpose is not to attack Catholics, Protestants, Evangelicals, Latter-day Saints or any other faith tradition. The purpose is to put the evidence in front of readers and allow them to reach their own conclusions.

Artificial intelligence may have made it possible to search, organize and compare enormous amounts of information faster than ever before.

But the final decision still belongs to the human being reading the evidence.

The challenge is simple: Don't take Goldwell's word for it. Look for yourself.
