TOKYO, Japan - TelAve -- Saku Sakamoto is an international animation artist whose talent is recognized even by Director Kunio Katô—winner of the 81st Academy Award® for Best Animated Short Film for "Tsumiki no ie".

Sakamoto produced the feature-length animated film "Nightmare Bugs" entirely on his own; however, his uncompromising dedication led to the project running out of funds and stalling mid-production.

Despite remaining unfinished, the film was screened at prestigious events such as the Sitges Film Festival and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where it garnered critical acclaim.

In response to the many audience members who expressed a desire to see the complete version, a crowdfunding campaign was launched on Kickstarter.
