Columbia: Lane and sidewalk closures for late October
TelAve News/10844260
(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia residents should be aware of several lane and sidewalk closures scheduled throughout the city until the end of October. These closures are necessary for various construction projects and repairs.
On Tuesday, October 22, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the southbound lane of West Sexton Road between Business Loop 70 West and Mikel Street will be closed. This closure is due to water and sewer services being removed by Coil Construction in preparation for building demolitions. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic in both directions, but drivers are advised to seek alternative routes if possible.
In addition, on the same day from 1 to 5 p.m., a portion of the west sidewalk along South Eighth Street between East Broadway and Cherry Street will be closed. This closure is necessary for Columbia Hospitality Management to work on repairing the Glenn's Cafe sign at 29 S. Eighth St.
