Indian National Congress Leader from Andhra Pradesh. G.V. Sri Raj distributed election security deposits to contesting local body candidates.
KAKINADA, India - TelAve -- KAKINADA, ANDHRA PRADESH — In a pivotal move to strengthen grassroots democracy and support candidates from marginalized backgrounds, youth leader G.V. Sri Raj distributed election security deposits to contesting local body candidates. This vital aid, provided under the 'Geddam Sunder Rao Fellowship,' ensures that financial constraints do not hinder dedicated party workers from engaging in public service.
This empowerment drive aligns perfectly with the national high command's vision of fortifying the party base from the ground up. The initiative comes as former MP G.V. Harsha Kumar actively steers the regional election strategy as the Kakinada Parliament In-charge for the local body polls. By directly backing grassroots foot soldiers and inclusive representation, the move effectively revitalizes the cadre at a foundational level.
