Yale Li Delivers Opening Remarks at SF AI Summit, Calling for Stronger Links Between Silicon Valley Innovation, International Governance, and Inclusive AI Development
SAN FRANCISCO - TelAve -- The World Digital Technology Academy participated in SF Tech Week 2026, held October 5–11, joining an extensive gathering of technology entrepreneurs, venture capital investors, researchers, and industry leaders exploring the next generation of artificial intelligence.
Presented by Andreessen Horowitz, SF Tech Week brought together hundreds of independently organized events across the Bay Area, covering AI infrastructure, enterprise applications, autonomous agents, robotics, startup investment, and emerging technologies.
A highlight of WDTA's participation was the SF AI Summit — The Infrastructure Era on October 9 at the W Hotel in San Francisco. Yale Li, Executive Chairman of WDTA, delivered opening remarks emphasizing the need to connect technological breakthroughs with internationally interoperable governance, responsible deployment, and equitable access to AI's benefits.

Organized by BELLE, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization, the SF AI Summit convened founders, investors, enterprise executives, researchers, and policymakers to examine the infrastructure requirements of the emerging AI economy.
The summit's program featured more than 30 speakers, startup pitch competitions, technology showcases, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. Its four central themes were sovereign AI infrastructure, enterprise AI, agentic systems, and physical robotics. The organizers advertised a gathering of more than 1,000 AI builders and investors.
In his opening remarks, Yale Li acknowledged Silicon Valley's leadership in advancing enterprise AI, autonomous systems, and robotics, while emphasizing that technical progress must be matched by trusted international frameworks.
"Silicon Valley builds the engines that power this future; international bodies establish the guardrails that allow those engines to operate globally without friction or fragmentation."
Li stressed that the transition from AI demonstrations to mission-critical enterprise systems requires more than computational performance. It also demands systemic resilience, responsible governance, and cross-border interoperability.

He called for greater collaboration among technology developers, industry organizations, academic institutions, and international policymakers to ensure that rapidly evolving AI systems remain commercially viable, technically grounded, and globally trustworthy.
Representing WDTA, Li outlined the Academy's role as a bridge between the technology industry, academia, and international policy communities, including its engagement with the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD).
He introduced three major WDTA initiatives supporting international collaboration: DWC, AI STR, and DigiBridge. Li invited Silicon Valley founders, technology operators, investors, and researchers to engage with WDTA in developing practical approaches to AI safety, sovereign data architectures, and international interoperability.
He also emphasized the importance of ensuring that technological progress creates opportunities beyond a small number of leading companies and markets.
"The AI revolution cannot become another chapter in a story where technology is designed by a few, benefits a few, and leaves many behind."
